Photoshoot for website and CD cover

Today, 15th Feb, the girls and I met up to film more for our music video.
We decided to start the day with a photoshoot as we needed pictures for our website and CD booklet. The day was very eventful for photos, not so much for filming. We managed to film another clip of me lip syncing and most of the bedroom scene, but we didn't get on to filming the bath part like we'd planned. Therefore we've organized to film on the 17th too.
We also had a bit of difficulty recruiting a boy to star in our video, with Rae and Hyleana's boyfriend being on holiday and with others not wanting to be in the video, it set us a little off course. If all fails finding a boy, we're just going to wait for Hyleana's boyfriend to come back for his sunny paradise.

Anyway here's some photos of how the gallery is looking:

Development of merchandise

Currently this is what our shop page looks like on the website:

After learning how to make the merchandise I helped the girls do some. Hyleana's so far has done a baseball tee and a mascara, while Rae is creating a pillow and others. We also thought we'd add a packet of foxglove seeds to the shop as it connects with our band name.

Final Logo

This is a little drawing I did on the graphics tablet.

I found a way to draw on the tablet while still having the control of drawing on paper; I drew my design on a piece of paper before drawing over it with the stylistic on the pad. There was a slight problem with this because the drawing started to go off the page even when I changed the size of the canvas. I found a solution to this problem after zooming in to the canvas.

When I created the geometry part I had another problem because every time I created a new line, it would create a new layer. This became a problem when I was trying to find a line I wanted to change because the layers were all just random numbers and I had up to 82 of them.

After I'd finished the fox and found it acceptable, I decided to use the writing that we'd previously made and add it to the bottom. The writing first came out blurry because it had been stretch, so I made it smaller by changing the image size on Photoshop. I might end up changing the writing.

Reason for design

As I've said before, the title is inspired by the cover of one of Flume's song. We thought instead of going down the flower route like he did, we'd go for a fox (if you can't tell what my drawing is). I combined the fox with a geometric design. I was going for a glass like appearance, like the fox is breaking free - but it didn't quite turn out like that.

P.s. don't laugh at the paws, I'm going to change them.

 This is a moodboard of our video - 'Leah'(our main character) will go through a mix of emotions trying to find out about herself and her sexuality. Like in the images she turns her back on the truth and tries to deny her feelings.

There'll be flashes of happy memories mixed with the struggles of her current life while she tries to find herself.

Risk Assessment

Before we could start filming we had to complete a risk assessment. We basically outlined any hazards that could occur, rated them on a danger level and suggested a way we could prevent the events from happening.
